EZ-TIS

EZ-TIS is a solid state audio recorder and player designed for the Travelers' Information and Highway Advisory radio systems.
Audio recordings are stored in on-board non-volatile memory, providing zero power message storage.

EZ-TIS provides three message blocks of up to 60 or 90 seconds each.
New messages may be recorded while simultaneously playing message audio over the air.
Each of the three message blocks may be independently selected to play over the air or be excluded from broadcast.

Extremely low power consumption makes EZ-TIS an ideal solution for battery or solar-powered installations.
Zero power message storage eliminates the need for troublesome backup batteries and circuits.

All external connections to EZ-TIS are made through a single, detachable terminal block
and two standard RJ-11 type modular telephone connectors.

The built-in transmitter control relay allows authorized operators to switch the transmitter on and off as necessary.

Control of EZ-TIS is via either a standard touch-tone telephone set located at the transmitter site or by a standard dial-up telephone line.
The dial-up line access is protected by a passcode which protects the system from intruders.

All control functions, including recording, auditioning, and selecting or excluding message blocks are accomplished with a single keypress.

When time-critical messages must be delivered, a single keypress activates the EZ-TIS Live Broadcast mode.
At the conclusion of the live broadcast EZ-TIS automatically resumes playing pre-recorded messages over the air.

EZ-TIS automatically adjusts for differences in line quality and operator voices, insuring maximum audio quality at all times.

EZ-TIS requires no special operator training
